I Hear Music In The Air

“And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and filled all the house where they were sitting.” Acts 2:2

There are some things in life that seem to take their time coming. Some mother is wondering how long before children will act right. Some sister is questioning how long before ‘Mr. Right’ will come into her life. A good friend of mine used to say, It’s not going to be as long as it has been. The Bible says, and suddenly. When God gets ready to move, it does not take long. There are some blessings that you have been waiting for, and God is saying now is the time… this is your season. A change is on the way.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven. Over my head, I hear music in the air. My sister, it is important that we begin to listen for a sound from heaven. But how can we hear a heavenly sound when we are always trying to eaves drop on the devil instead of listening for the voice of God. The problem is, too often, we have our ear to the devil’s door, trying to hear what he is whispering about us, instead of listening to hear what thus saith the Lord. The devil will say, it’s all over… that you are a loser… that there is no hope for your situation. But I’m so glad that I overheard a conversation from heaven, this morning. I heard God say, It’s not over yet. My Sister, I hear music in the air.

The air was filled with expectancy as the disciples and others gathered in an Upper room following the ascension of Christ. The Bible says they were gathered together in one place, and were all on one accord. What would happen if trustees and stewards and preachers and layman would all get on one accord?

When the body of believers gets on one accord, we are able to walk together children and not get weary. You remember how our great-great grandparents stuck together. If Big Ben and Aunt Susie had, they shared with Cousin Attie Mae and Cousin Jimmy Lee. I wonder what would happen if husbands and wives and sisters and brothers all got on one accord.

The Bible says there was a sound that was so great that it was as a rushing mighty wind. God’s voice is able to drown out the noise of despair and discouragement. He speaks and listening to His voice, new life the dead receive! Sis, I just heard something.
And the bible says that the whole house was filled. When God is in the place, everybody gets filled. His presence fills the hungry soul, and causes my cup to overflow.

At the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit filled the house and everybody in the house got blessed.

Prayer:
Lord, send the Pentecost. I pray in the name of Jesus for the sound as of a rushing mighty wind to fill the house and usher in the healing presence of God. Lord, let us feel your love, peace, and joy. Let us hear the drum beat of the wind of God. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
