It is true, learning to trust God is a step by step process. As we grow in the Lord and look back over our lives; we see that it had to be the Lord who brought us through. We can start looking day by day. Sometimes what appears to be adversity, turns out to be a lifesaving blessing. Here is my personal example: About a month ago, a blood clot was found in my leg. I was placed on blood thinners, but my blood was slow to thin. Therefore, my doctor increased the medication week after week. The medication is very expensive and frankly I was running out of money to purchase it. However, the Lord had me to open my mouth to a friend about this, just as I was about to run out of the prescription. She divulged that she had been taking the same thing, but her blood responded quickly and her doctor took her off this medication before she had completed taking five more doses. Therefore, she gave me what she had left. Of course I checked with my doctor to see if it was okay that I take this medicine. She stated it was a little bit weaker than my dosage, but something would be better than nothing.
Yesterday, I had to leave my house at 6:00am. I did not take my medicine. Urgencies after urgencies came up while I was out until 10:45 am. It is very important that I take my meds on time, 9:00 am.
As I arrived back home, had a chance to look at voice mails finally, I notice my doctor has called me. I fill my glass with water, take the cap off my medicine as I put my phone on loudspeaker while listening to messages. As I lift the required dosage to my mouth, I hear my doctor say, your blood is too thin…DO NOT TAKE ANYMORE MEDICINE. All I can say is… “ain’t God good”!
