This is Your Wake Up Call!

Work The Plan

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster; to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29:11

Just knowing the plan that God has for us does not guarantee our success. God does his part by creating the plan. We must actually DO the plan. We have to make the difficult choices to obey what we know is right according to God’s desires. Not what is right in our eyes, but what is right if God’s eyes. Intimacy with God is important in this process because as we spend time with him, this is where his plan is revealed to us. An intimate relationship comes with spending time with God.

A fixed heart is a determined heart, a steadfast heart that is rightly focused on God, His will and His plan. When we choose to follow God’s plan, the desires of our heart will line up in obedience to that plan and with that there comes peace. As we truly commit to this life- journey, we will find the greatest joy in pleasing God. After all, that is what we were innately created to do.

As we get closer to Christmas Day, remember that Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection were all a part of the plans God has for our lives. A part of that plan is accepting the gift of salvation. Today, ask God about the other plans he has for your life and as we get closer to the celebration of Jesus’ birth, manifest this plan in your life daily!

I do wish that I’d replied more frequently. The guest bloggers have been phenomenal. I have been able to use these devotions to start my day and gain new prospective on a lot of scripture.

Today’s blog, like almost every other day, I was able to forward and use to minister to other as well. Often the same message would address a different need in myself and the recipient. Today I sent the message to my daughter who is struggle to remain positive. She has struggled with so many bad life choices running away from her spiritual destiny. She spent two years as a Spelman student, she is currently in jail for a short but undefined timeframe. The biggest pain for her is that she may miss Christmas with her 5 and 2 year old daughters. There was no better message for her today than to say, God has a plan for your life, and the we must DO the plan.

I want to let you all know that I appreciate the time and devotion applied to your lessons.
