The Lenten Journey – The Journey to Receive God’s Reward

Philippians 3:12-21

Press: The journey to receive God’s reward
Accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior is choosing to change your life’s journey away from earthly ways but committing your journey towards heaven. Although rewarding, the journey can also be teaching, testing and sacrificial. As you travel along your way and life happens, make declarations to press ahead and use them as support and reminders of the journey that Jesus traveled for you to receive God’s reward.

Declare to:
Press, forgetting yesterday’s sorrow to forge your way to receive God’s reward.
Press, when you are asking God for clarity and direction on your path to his kingdom.
Press, when your past life starts to whisper for you to come back. When tested, press harder keeping your eyes on the prize!
Press to accept that everyone you know/meet, friend-family-foe, will not be pressing towards God, like you.
Press, when you know that you have given all there is to give, and prayed all that is in your heart and soul, then God says no. Keep pressing and keep praying!
Press as you listen for God’s voice, he may call upon you to teach about the journey, where Christ is unfamiliar.
Press to live as an example to never, ever, ever give up forging towards Christ.
Wholeheartedly, press to take hold of the love of Jesus, because, he walked the ultimate journey to teach, to test and sacrificed his life for you.

Join the Lenten Journey today. Our theme this year is The Inward Journey with Outward Results. A team of guest writers will be sharing daily messages during this 40-day season of Lent. You can read the daily messages and increase your prayer time. Write your revelations in a book or journal. Also, we are challenging you to do the Daniel Fast. More information on the Daniel Fast can be found at The next challenge is to read the New Testament from John to Revelation. Let us know you will be joining us on this journey in the comment section. Make it an individual, family, ministry or church Lenten discipline!
