This is Your Wake Up Call!

Praycation – Yielded And Still

The past few days have been prophetic and powerful. Thank you for being a part of Praycation: An Oasis In The Desert. You came from as far away as Kenya, Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, California, Florida and all across the state of Texas to San Antonio. We prayed and answered the Call to Silence. We worshipped and walked the labyrinth. We praised God and did battle in the prayer War Room and birthed new visions in the Travailing Room.

I’ll share more in the days to come. Pray with me as I seek God’s direction for Praycation 2015! Remember to stick with Praycation 2014 on this site for the rest of the month. Let’s prepare:

Adelaide A. Pollard believed that the Lord wanted her to go to Africa as a missionary. However she was unable to raise the necessary funds to make the trip. She was upset and went to a prayer meeting in an uncertain mind.

It was at this prayer meeting that Pollard heard a woman praying, “It’s all right Lord. It doesn’t matter what You bring in our lives, just have Your own way with us.

She went home and wrote the classic hymn Have Thine Own Way, Lord.

Have Thine own way, Lord! Have Thine own way!
Thou art the Potter, I am the clay.
Mold me and make me after Thy will,
While I am waiting, yielded and still.

Beloved, let’s do something radical. In prayer let us be “yielded and still” before God alone. Let us yield our body, mind and soul to the Lord at the beginning of everyday. Lord whatever you want me to do, wherever you want me to go, whatever you want me to say in whatever way you desire. It is the first thing in the morning and last thing at night prayer.

Let’s submit ourselves to God’s word day and night to be fed, led, taught and transformed.

Let us Pray:

“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”

John 14: 26

Dear lord,

It is so easy for me to pray again that I want it all and I want it all now. Forgive me for treating you as a divine waiter to fetch what I need and carry away my refuse. Today I sit in silence yielded and still. Help me to do whatever you want me to do, go wherever you want me to go and say whatever you want me to say. In Jesus name, Amen.
