This is Your Wake Up Call!

The Lenten Journey 2015 – Live In the Light

2_21_2015_Katherine Ellington (2015)Ephesians 5:8-14

Darkness can be an overwhelming time of confusion. The fear of the unknown can push us into despair. There are times when uncertainty in life can unravel our faith.
In these times we should push beyond weariness.

We “should live as children of the light with all goodness, righteousness and truth.” The fight against darkness is overcome with wisdom that sheds light for a way through and beyond. We can move in prayer, Bible study, with our church to walk and live in the light.

I pray to live in the light. In dark places let me shed light. Open truth and wisdom for a path of renewal.

Be sure to let your light shine in all of the dark places you encounter today in your life, home, job and even in ministry. Darkness has a habit of creeping into stuff behind our backs and even in front of our faces. Shine forth the light of God. Speak light to dark places. Walk in the light. Let your light shine even when you’re not invited to do so. Praise God, we are no longer children of the dark but of the light!

Thanks Katherine! Be sure to encourage all of our guest bloggers in the comment section. During this Lenten season, I’m encouraging you to increase your prayer and Bible reading time. Try the Daniel Fast and give up something significant other than your favorite foods. Try giving up poisonous relationships, negative thinking, envy, hatred, bitterness or something in the past that has caused pain.  Share your progress or struggles in the comment section on this site.

Keep up at

This 2015 lenten season I pledged to God and myself that I will take this season more serious than I have in past years.Since the first of the year I have been praying three times a day and reading everything I could find on prayer and praying also I have been reading with keen interest “this is your wake up call”. Today subject should be a call to arms for the Body of Christ, we are the light of the world, our life should reflect the it. The light in us can not be extinguish if we let it shine everywhere the sole of our feet steps.
