All Wise and Knowing God, I enter your gates with thanksgiving into your courts with praise. I set aside my busyness to hear you more clearly and love you more dearly. I sit still in your presence while nations are in an uproar and kingdoms fall. I’m still seeking to rise out of the ashes of dispute and disappointment. I’m still in the presence of your strength and ever-present help. I’m silent. Speak Lord. Your servant is listening. Help me now to follow the Your path with renewed determination. Help me to be and not just do. In Jesus name, Amen.

  1. Andrea B says:

Thank you for stillness. Many people have a hard time being still but I have learned that when I am still it center’s me. Then the Holy Sprit works in me bringing me clarity, peace and a quiet spirit that get’s me through the day. When Iam still God can work through me, for me and with me. Being still keeps my spirit in line with God. Take to just be still.

  2. Marsha says:

My pastor challenged us to find a secret place/prayer closet in out house to pray. A place where we can go in quiet and pray without distractions or disruptions. Ihave found it is working. My thoughts are clearer. I’m more at peace. Maybe I am truly feeling the presence is God outside of a church service. Hmmm…who knew?
