This is Your Wake Up Call!

The Lenten Journey 2018: Are You Listening?

Are You Listening?

Matthew 16:23 NRSV

Soul searching is not popular, but it is a life saving journey. If you are only led by a worldview then you risk stumbling or worse succumbing to evil with thoughts and plans just not meant for your life.

The inner journey is not easy. Don’t give up. Get quiet. Avoid distraction. Watch and pray. Listen. Lent is a season for close listening to surrender our worldly Q&A in search of soul keeping answers in response to life-changing questions.

“The soul integrates the will and mind and body.”
—John Ortberg, Soul Keeping: Caring for the Most Important Part of You

Reflection questions:

• Are you getting in enough quiet time leaving space for listening?
• What distracts your from inner work? Fear? Busyness?
• Have you found soul-keeping answers?

We pray for time and space to get quiet. Please help us to move beyond discomfort and distraction to mediate, pray, reflect as well as listen. Guide our journey. We need inner peace to overcome the toxicity of this world.
