The Gratitude Project – Promise Given, Promise Kept!

GRATITUDE FRY BROWN 4_2020-5The Gratitude Project

Gratitude Changes Everything! Let’s change the world together!

“Whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door.”
Matthew 6: 6

Today, I’m grateful that the Promise Giver is the Promise Keeper!

Award winning Gospel Artist, Ernest Pugh is grateful for his prayer warriors! And you!?

It’s amazing that the most important things we need to do, don’t get done. Things like prayers, study, rest, or just sitting in the presence of God gets kicked off our too busy agendas. Suddenly, the agenda is clear. The closets, garage, attics and shelves have all been cleaned or rearranged. We’ve check on friends and family. Cleaned up our  email and social media platforms. Isn’t it time we get into God’s face and invite others to do the same?

We asked for time and God gave it to us in an unusual way. I remember asking the Lord to help me find the time to complete a writing assignment in the midst of a truck load of responsibilities. I ended up with foot surgery…twice… that sat me down long enough to complete it!! Be careful for what you pray for!!

Beloveds, I’m grateful that we still we have an all access pass to the throne room of heaven. I’m grateful that our Divine Promise giver is a Praise Keeper.

Today, let’s shut door on the noise of a chaotic community and commune with the Lord! Identify one of the promises of God. Pray the promise. Declare it’s promise over your life: The promise to fight for you (Exodus 14:14); God’s mercies are new each morning (Lam 3:21-23) God will renew your strength (Is 40:31) The Lord will help you (Is 41:13) The Lord will be with you (Is 43:2) God’s love will not be shaken (Is 54:10) No weapon formed against you will prevail (Is.54:17).

Let us pray out loud:
Merciful God, we have shut the door against the intrusions of the day. We, who are weary from the challenges and changes of this uncertain season seek direction in your eternal chanagelessness. You are the same yesterday, today and forever more.

Speak now a word that dispels the clouds of doubt and fear. Speak a word that will sustain us in the mundane or monumental moments ahead. Speak a word that will strengthen our hands for the work before us, our hearts for any burdens to bare and renew our minds to make decisions that honor you.

In this shut door prayer, whisper your instructions so that we may emerge to do your will. In Jesus Name, Amen.
